NTA empanels over 5,000 experts for setting, translating and vetting question papers

ABOUT 5,000 academicians, scientists, researchers, professionals, educators, translators and moderators have been empanelled with the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) panel of subject matter experts for question paper setting, translation, vetting, moderation, answer key verification, curriculum mapping, research, psychometric validation and other confidential assignments, said sources.

After the NEET-UG paper leak in May this year, which led to massive protests and the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the NTA sacked about 600 subject matter experts. It also shifted its headquarters from South East Delhi’s Okhla area to the Government of India Press building on Minto Road.

As part of its ongoing overhaul, the NTA has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from academicians, scientists, educators and others to join its three-year panel of subject matter experts and translators.
